This is where the line between celebrity gossip and heart breaking news is blurred. There’s no sense making a mockery out of this story so I’ll just get down to it. Last night around 7 PM TMZ reported that Britney Spears‘ Beverly Hills home was surrounded by police cars, fire trucks, an ambulance and a police chopper after Britney refused to give up her two kids, as per court orders, to K-Fed‘s bodyguard. After a four hour stand-off between Britney and the cops, which drew the the likes of Britney’s lawyers, K-fed, and the rest of the media world, Britney finally released her kids to Ferderline and the LAPD. It is around this time that the cops realized that Britney was ” under the influence of an unknown substance”.
Paramedics wheeled a distraught Britney out of her home on a gurney and drove her straight to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on a “medical hold” (mental evaluation). As she left the ambulance Britney flicked off the paparazzi with an enormous grin on her face–creepy. An LAPD spokesman Jason Lee said,
…she will be tested for both drink and drugs. At this stage we do not know what she may or may not have taken – that’s while she needs to be evaluated.
But obviously if the test does prove positive then we would be looking to move her to a police station and charge her. But again I cannot say if that will happen for sure until we get the evaluation test results.
According to Pagesix, the stress and mental anguish of the ongoing custody battle and deposition has caused Spears to “lose a tremendous amount of weight in the past several weeks.”
We will continue to update you on this story as the facts come in…
Bob ‘The Bitch’: Wow, Hell really did Freeze over last night. You know I didn’t think I would ever say this, but Britney…you still look fat. More on that later.
OK, OK, and get well soon.
Here’s the insane video of Brit being taken from her home and delivered to Ceders E-Room:
