This just in: The New American Gladiators is rigged. Fake. Scripted. PC. Bullshit. Words cannot describe how disapointed I am. I grew up watching Malibu and Gemini dominate no-name gym teachers and secretaries. Then one day the Old American Gladiators was canceled and re-runs filled the void. My life went on and Laser probably settled back into his job as assistant manager for Bally’s; Saber resumed her career as an applause-sign-holder for Jeopardy…
Then I heard the rumors that the show was to be revived -bigger and better than ever! As Malibu would say, “I was stoked.” I watched the first 2 episodes in disgust and slightly puked in mouth when I realized the obvious: the contest was scripted. I noticed the contestants/actors faked fatigue to let the other actors catch up in the final event: The Eliminator, or as the announcer called it: the Great Equalizer. Although, for now, it is only the Derobers’ opinion the show is rigged, let the following video serve as blatant evidence. We should have known better when Hulk Hogan, a legend of FAKE WWF wrestling, was slated to host of the show. Grab a tissue and enjoy the show (before NBC pulls the video). You decide for yourself…

There is no better proof in the world that the New American Gladiators is fake than this video. I still can’t believe how obvious it is to see that it’s fixed.

You clowns have no clue what you are talking about. There is no way that American Gladiators is rigged. Don’t be a hater because you fat lazy computer slops would sink in the gladiator pool. That stuff is a lot harder than it seems, and while it is no MMA, it is definatley legit. This video is completely stupid. With comments like ‘NBC plays dramatic music’…of course they do. That’s what you do in post production. I can’t even believe I just wasted my time entertaining these stupid allegations.

I’m not saying the competition is rigged but its definitely scripted. The contestants monologue’s at the beginning are totally fake. And those comments they give after finishing events are so cheesy and stereotypical. The redneck contestant actually compared an event to “hog wrestlin’ at the county fair” whether these competitors are genuine or actors its definitely scripted

At about 1:02, the female red contestant, “struggling” to get up the rope/ramp, looks back to see whether or not the blue contestant is even there yet.

Unfortunately, while the first female Eliminator on premiere night was somewhat suspect, Monday night’s follow-up episode featured two semi-blowouts in the Eliminator, indicating to me that there is no evidence of the event being rigged. These people are playing for a crack at $100,000. I just can’t believe any of the competitors would allow themselves to lose at the behest of the producers.

If you want to make a case that this was rigged, I would be more apt to believe the story if the red female competitor in the video blew the large lead on the “travelator” to build a sense of drama, only to come back and win at the very end. The fact that she lost and thus took herself out of the running for the grand prize makes me question why she would ever voluntarily allow herself to be used for story purposes by the show’s producers.

It is my hope that NBC will wise up when they realize people are sniffing out the show as fake (which it is); hopefully then they will start making the contestants play for real. Because Gladiators done legitimately is much more fun to watch anyways.

Wow. Almost as conclusive as the UFO landing videos in Roswell. Oh course, some of the show is scripted. But I seriously doubt the blonde Marine girl said “sure, I’ll smack my face on the metal pipe in the pool and give myself a concussion.” She had a visible gash on her face and a mask of blood.

I’d like to see the author of this article attempt all the events and then run the Eliminator.

The only thing this show is missing is a fat, opera singing Stalker named Dynamo

Mike I agree…some of the show is legitimate. Just like some of wrestling is spontaneous. But the OUTCOME of the show was never in doubt. That is where the show was fixed.

seems to me that some of it is obvious, some of it is not, in the vid you say that the contenders throw the rope instead of grabbing it. but even you slowed it down and it’s clear that she did very very briefly grab the rope. i think like mike said the author of the article should attempt all the events and then run the eliminator, we just might find some of the same elements he pointed out in this video. if we were to watch him do it as well. im not swayed.

Oy. You get paid a lot of money when you get on a game show. Even in something like Deal or No Deal, no one ever goes home with just $50. That’s stupid. If this show really is rigged, then NBC would pay the loser an ever bigger amount than the grand prize. They don’t just politely ask them to lose.

I hope everyone knows that American Gladiators is listed in the breakdowns that are sent out by the studios to the casting agents in LA. The people you are seeing are actors. This is a paid gig for them. Remember, you’re watching television. It has writers and producers like any other show.

I wish I could reveal my true identity but since I can’t I just want to let all you beleivers know that the show is rigged for the most part. It is a game show not a contest remember that and rules can be changed for any event at any time when they deem fit, even the menacing “Eliminator.” If you want to see for yourself, take a trip to LA to be a fill in audience member( who are paid as well) and see for yourself. If you can’t do that, then I would say tape every episode and slowly watch the changes as they go along. It will amaze you. I can attest to it becuase i was there. If you don’t want to know, then sit back for some good entertainment.
